Polaris (The Knee), solution to the enygma of the origins

Four years ago (in May 2016) I published the article The knee of Hercules, the result of an “intuition”, after finding out that several rectilinear “gammas” are engraved on the roof of Cheops. I concluded that these gammas referred to an astronomical fact: what is commonly known, in archeoastronomy, as "The knees of Hercules", located in the constellation of Hercules. 12,000 years ago the pole was located here, between the "knees of Hercules"; and not on his heel, as I mistakenly believed at that time. I have not corrected this detail in my article The knee of Hercules for preserving the integrity of the evolution of the aforementioned research, which adopted a more promising aspect with the collaboration three years ago of Diego Méndez, and in particular, with the use of a powerful instrument of analysis: the Stellarium program.

In short, the research - through the Stellarium program - led us to conclude (Diego Méndez and me) that around 9000 BC. the Knee of Hercules (which before the Greeks had not received its current name, but which was already known by very ancient cultures, such as the Sumerians) represented the "pole", which was symbolized by the swastika, a symbol that alludes to the rotation around said pole between the "knees of Hercules" (since there are two).

In 2018 I reflected the result of this research in my book Ecos de la Atlántida, where I literally write the following:

Both the Greeks and, more remotely, the Sumerians, represented kneeling the main hero of their pantheon (Hercules and Gilgamesh, respectively). It is assumed that this is so because, according to the myth, in the eleventh work of Hercules he had to bear the weight of Heaven for a time, so that Atlas went to look for the apples of the Hesperides, in the homonymous garden. Hercules' image -overwhelmed by the weight of the celestial vault- became an iconic picture, which has lasted over time, and has its expression in the "time map" of the celestial vault (see below). We are not few who think that this representation refers to the "fall of the sky" (to the Flood, in short) of oral and written tradition.

In short, the gamma [see below] could be an indicator of a certain moment when the "knee of Hercules" occupied a central position in the universe. The fact is that, as I have had the opportunity to verify thanks to the collaboration of my friend Diego Mendez, exactly 11,000 years ago the celestial pole was right in the middle of the two knees of Hercules (since they are two; one with the ground foot and another one sitting on the ground). That means that these two gamma rotated around a stationary fixed point (the pole), generating the shape of a trinacria (just add an imaginary third knee to see it complete), an ancient symbol present on the shield of at least two European regions (Sicily and the Isle of Man), and which, from my point of view, represents the origin of the swastika, one of the most complex, and at the same time universal, icons in the world.

The "trinacria", composed of three flexed legs, would be the antecedent of the swastika. Left, as a symbol of the Isle of Man; right, as a symbol of Sicily. Source: "Ecos de la Atlántida."

The swastika is, from my point of view, a symbol of the pole (which was empty at that time; 11,000 years ago there was no nearby star that served as a reference, as is the case today with the polar star located in the Little Bear). The pole is described as the "Hamlet Mill" by Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechend in the homonymous book. I think that the swastika is more in line with its primordial symbolism, as this is a sign as old as the facts it represents (the "fall of the sky", or the Flood), in light of the latest dating of petroglyphs and archaeological remains very ancient throughout the world. And the swastika is also described as a "fire drill", that is, as an axis that rotates until it sparks and brings light to those in the dark. This poetic image gives an idea of the "civilizational" (cultural) nature of the discovery of fire, and at the same time highlights the role of astronomy (the observation and study of the heavens) in the development of civilization. The role of Prometheus is that of the "civilizing hero," which brings culture and enlightenment to the ignorant.

But let's continue. From my point of view, the gamma sculpted in the underground chamber of the Cheops pyramid could constitute an astronomical marker that would allude to a specific date: at the time when Hercules's knee was in the vicinity of the pole, around 9000 to. C.

In short, the importance of this fact lies in the fact that a symbol (the swastika) that refers to the “fall of the sky” has been preserved, which took place at the precise moment when the “knees of Hercules” marked the pole of the Universe , around which all the stars orbit. This gives an idea of a Tradition, which I develop in the first part of my book Ecos de la Atlántida, and that left - perhaps - a visible imprint on two monuments of the Giza plateau: the Great Pyramid (specifically, in its chamber underground) and the Sphinx. I invite the reader to come to this work to know the details of this research.

The concept "Tradition" is fundamental. Because the swastika symbol, and the “kneeling solar hero”, indicate an event that happened 11,000 years ago (the Flood, the end of an era, and the beginning of the current era), it would be very important to find a denomination that would associate the Pole (currently, the Polar Star, or Alfa Polaris) with the "knee of Hercules"; that is, with the Tradition that gave rise to the swastika symbol (that is, of the rotating Pole), and with the memory at the time of the Flood.

It is Diego Méndez who, following his exhaustive investigation, has found the “key”. Yesterday he sent me an email, in the middle of the night, in which he let me know the name that the Arabs gave to the current star Polaris; and this is none other than "knee":

The star sometimes appears as Alrucaba (from the Arabic al rukba meaning 'the knee') or Cynosura (from the Greek Κυνόσουρα meaning 'the tail of the dog') in older star atlases and catalogues. In short, this is a subject that is still subject to discussion (the name of the stars, and specifically the etymology of some of them, is a matter open to debate), but if confirmed, it would be meritfully demonstrated that the Primordial Tradition has subsisted to this day, perhaps in the hands of an elite that has preserved the memory of the Great Catastrophe that occurred more than eleven millennia ago. In this regard, Giorgio de Santillana and Hertha von Dechend wrote in Hamlet Mill.

"The strange hologram of archaic cosmology [the zodiac] must have existed as a plan preconceived by someone, drawn at least in certain minds, even at a time as late as the Sumerian period ... Such a mind could have belonged to an archivist of documents, but not of the living word, and even less of living thought. Most of that plan was never written down". But unfortunately, this "plan" is today illegible, because "the minds that created and ordered it have disappeared forever".

In view of what we have stated here, these "tradition recorders on the map of Heaven" may not have disappeared at all, and - at least some unknown Arab astronomers - have preserved the memory of the Great Catastrophe in the name that gave to the current polar star (Alrucaba, or "the knee"), so that - at least certain elites - we do not forget how precarious our situation on the Planet is; and maybe so that we learn to be something more humble.
